What happened
Prosper, Texas's Planning & Zoning Commission voted 7-0 to recommend denial of White Rose Partners' proposed Project Tomahawk data center, despite staff support. Local reporting describes an approximately 37.3-acre rezoning and a proposed $580 million project; the Town Council is scheduled to consider the case September 8. More than 400 written objections were reported before the hearing.
Why it earned coverage
